Are you a self-sabotager?

I recently worked with a client, we will call her Lucy, who on the surface seemed to sabotage herself by perpetual procrastination. For years, Lucy assumed she was falling short due to laziness or incompetence.

The real issue? Lucy harboured intense anxiety about being visible as a successful person. Interesting right? Even weirder still - her success was already happening!

In our work together, Lucy came to realise a subconscious belief plaguing her:

"I don't deserve to be highly successful. If I achieve big goals and dreams, something bad will happen."

Can you relate even a little bit? This fear manifesting as procrastination was robbing Lucy of happiness and potential rewards for her talents.

Through a process of compassionate inquiry, we traced back to where these stories about undeserved success originated. Slowly, Lucy released the burden of these false beliefs. We built up her confidence with new narratives about embracing earned success.

The transformation was profound. By facing her fear of failure AND success, Lucy broke through years of self-sabotage. She began launching projects passionately, enjoying accolades, and most importantly feeling LIBERATED in her abilities.

The "real reason" Lucy procrastinated was fear. But underneath that - a brilliant, creative powerhouse longing to be seen.

If fear or false beliefs are stealing your joy and potential too, I can help excavate that with you. You absolutely deserve to flourish freely. But first we need to have a courageous conversation about what's holding you back.
